Cloudy skies, isolated rains expected across PH

A tail-end of a cold front will bring light to moderate rains in extreme northern Luzon, according to the state weather bureau.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over the islands of Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its afternoon bulletin on Thursday.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather bureau issued thunderstorm alerts in parts of Visayas and Mindanao in the afternoon.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over northern Luzon and coming from the east over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago would be slight to moderate, Pagasa said. RC/rga
