Aquino admin’s transition team to meet Friday

President Benigno Aquino III’s transition team, which will help usher in the new administration, will meet on Friday, Malacañang said.

“The transition committee created by President Aquino and headed by ES (Executive Secretary Pacquito) Ochoa will hold its initial meeting soon,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said in a statement on Thursday.

He said the meeting will involve only those under the Aquino administration.

“No meeting has been scheduled with the transition team of (Davao City) Mayor (Rodrigo) Duterte,” he said.

Coloma on Wednesday quoted Mr. Aquino as saying that he was able to talk to Duterte’s top aide, Christopher “Bong” Go, to relay to the presumptive President that an administrative order has been crafted for the creation of the transition team. RAM/rga
