If she wins, Liberal Party vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo will give her 100 percent support for the presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte.

But Robredo clarified that she would not support Duterte if he would be involved in anything law-bending.

I think I have proven this many, many times,” Robredo explained.

Robredo, the running mate of LP standard-bearer Mar Roxas, stressed that whoever may be the president, he or she deserves the vice president’s full support.

“I’ve always said that the amount of support I gave Mar would be the same kind of amount of support to whoever wins the presidency,” she said.

“Now it’s apparent that Duterte will be the next president,” she said. Duterte is leading the presidential race, more than six million votes ahead of Roxas and Senator Grace Poe who both conceded to the Davao City Mayor.

“He deserves my 100 percent support. It wouldn’t benefit the Filipinos if he wouldn’t get the support he deserves,” said Robredo.

The issue was raised amid rumors came out that Robredo, assuming she wins the race, would resign from her post if Duterte becomes president.

This report–apparently a satire–spreading on social media was published in the website “adobo chronicles.”

The report quoted Robredo as saying: “Duterte and I are the exact opposites and I don’t see working with him even remotely possible.”

Robredo vehemently denied saying that statement.

Robredo also disputed the claims of Senator Bongbong Marcos, her closest rival in the race, that she is the ruling party’s “Plan B.”

“Pangalawa po ay balitang mayroon daw na Plan B ang Liberal Party na ipa-impeach si Mayor Duterte, wala po itong katotohanan,” she said.
