DAVAO CITY –The camp of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has created a transition committee for the smooth transition of government once he is proclaimed President.
“We are already preparing four major teams,” Peter Tiu Laviña, Duterte spokesperson, told reporters in a press conference.
Laviña said the transition government would be composed of an overall transition committee and three sub committees.
He said the sub committees will include a selection committee, a policy group committee and an inauguration committee.

He said Duterte has already told his campaign manager, Leoncio Evasco, of the five people who would be part of the transition committee.
“We will announce as soon as they are officially approved by the mayor,” Laviña said.
Laviña, meanwhile, welcomed the statement of Malacañang that they would help in the smooth transition of government. CDG/rga
