100 picked booze

BOOZE or ballot?

More than 100 people chose to violate the liquor ban  and forfeit their right to vote on Election Day, the Philippine National Police said.

PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor said 107 persons were arrested for violating the two-day liquor ban, which started Sunday.

Majority of those arrested were in the National Capital Region.

This was followed by 13 in Region VIII, eight each in Regions IV-A and IX, five from Region V, four in the Cordillera region, three in Region X and one in Region 1.

As of 4 p.m., the National Capital Region Police Office reported 78 arrests in 16 incidents across Metro Manila.  Jaymee T. Gamil
