Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo is still behind in the vice presidential race, but she’s confident a win is just on the horizon.

As of 11:50 Monday evening, Robredo is at second behind Sen. Bongbong Marcos with 11,690,457 votes while the latter has 12,046,911.

There have been 36,726,655 votes tallied.

“Palapit na tayo. Ayon sa projections, mananalo tayo. Walang bibitiw. Sa huli, ang tama ang mananaig. Dasal pa tayo. #LabanLeni,” Robredo posted on Twitter.

Marcos’ lead ballooned to as much as one million early Monday evening and votes from Camarines Sur, Robredo’s bailiwick are still unaccounted for.

Robredo, on a separate Facebook post, said the end is still near but expressed confidence in her potential win.

“Hindi sa pinangungunahan natin ang ating mga institusyon, ngunit may sarili tayong operation quick count at nakakakita natin na sa dakong huli tayo ang mananaig,” Robredo said. “Malayo pa at hindi pa tapos ang opisyal na bilangan.”

(We’re not preempting our institutions but we have our own operation quick count and we could see in the end we will prevail. It’s still far from over and the official count is not yet finished.)

“Patuloy po tayong maghihintay at magbantay.”
