Marcos, Robredo gap narrows to 1.3 percent

The gap between the votes cast for Senator Bongbong Marcos and Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo narrowed to 1.3 percent or 432,074 votes, according to the unofficial tally of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Transparency Server.

As of 11:20 p.m., the votes for Marcos reached 35.72 percent of the total or 11,863,352 while Robredo’s reached 34.42 percent or 11,431,278.

More than an hour ago, Marcos’ share of votes was at 36.44 percent while Robredo’s share was at 33.90 percent.

Robredo’s daughter Aika posted on Twitter that the votes from Robredo’s bailiwick are just being transmitted. The congresswoman also tweeted that her camp’s projections show that she will win.

The Comelec mirror server, housed at the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center in Manila, has so far counted 35,965,395 votes or 64.53 percent of 55,735,757 registered voters.

Of the 94,276 clustered precincts, results from 73,560 have been counted.
