THE United Nationalist Alliance on Monday night said the unofficial count of votes showing Vice President Jejomar Binay in fourth place only indicated that there was disenfranchisement of voters mostly from the supporters of the opposition standard-bearer.
In a press conference at the UNA media center in New Horizon Hotel in Mandaluyong, communications director Joey Salgado said the administration party led by the Liberal Party allegedly blocked voters supportive of Binay.
“There’s a clear, emerging pattern to target specific bailiwicks of the vice president in Mindanao, in areas where the vice president is strong,” Salgado said.
Clearly, ang gumagawa rito is the administration, the Liberal Party,” he added.
Salgado said he received reports from the ground that supporters of Binay were not allowed to vote.
He reminded the media that the count remains unofficial and that the official count is the canvassed results by Congress.
“Let us be mindful that these are partial, non-official.
