787 pre-shaded ballots found in Maguindanao—Binay camp
TALAYAN, Maguindanao – A lawyer for the United Nationalist Alliance party of presidential candidate Jejomar Binay in Maguindanao said on Monday, they had uncovered pre-shaded ballots in nearby Datu Saudi Ampatuan town.
Lawyer Kampo Amor, legal counsel for Maguindanao gubernatorial candidate Ali Midtimbang, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer, that 787 pre-shaded ballots were uncovered by their volunteers.
He did not say who among the national and local candidates benefited from the pre-shaded ballots. He said their camp immediately drafted and filed a protest with the Commission on Elections.
“Nearly 800 voters in that town were not able to cast their votes,” Amor said.
He said they also discovered similar cases in the town of Pagagawan, also in Maguindanao. SFM/rga
