His fate is up to God and the voters, vice presidential aspirant Senator Gregorio Honasan said as he cast his vote early Monday.
The senator and his wife, Jane, arrived 10 minutes before the opening of their clustered precinct at the Nativity of Our Lady School in Marikina.
Clad in a dark blue shirt and denim pants, the senator smiled and told reporters that he was relaxed and did not see any reason to be worried.
“Binigyan ng karapatan ang bawat botanteng Pilipino para gumawa ng isang maayos at matalinong desisyon. Ipaubaya na natin yan sa botante lalo na sa mga batang botante at sa Panginoon,” Honasan said.
It took him less than 30 minutes to cast his vote. He was not given a special lane by the election officers. The senator lined up outside like the other voters.
When asked about his plans if he wins or not, he said he was willing and ready to serve be it as vice president, senator, husband or father.
The clustered precinct where he voted has over 1,500 voters.
