Vice President Jejomar Binay and his son, ousted mayor Junjun Binay, cast their votes early on Monday at the San Antonio National High School in Makati City.
Dressed in a light blue shirt and jeans, Binay arrived five minutes before the 6 a.m. opening of precincts at the school which was a few steps away from his house.
The standard bearer of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) and the dismissed mayor cast their vote in clustered precinct 189.
Inside the precinct, Binay proceeded to the back of the room to keep his ballot from being caught by the cameras.
Before sitting down, Binay asked the media not to take shots of him filling up his ballot.
After Binay fed his ballot into the VCM and read his voter’s receipt, Binay proceeded to the school principal to complain about some poll watchers in his precinct wearing the party uniform of Kid Peña, the mayoral candidate of Makati running against Binay’s daughter Abby.
In an interview after voting, Binay said he hoped his fears of “massive cheating” would not happen.
