Before this, Poe’s team also held a separate miting de avance in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, the home province of her adoptive father, the late action star Fernando Poe Jr.

Poe said she was writing her own message for her final sortie at Plaza Miranda.

“Alam mo ‘pag galing sa puso, lalong-lalo na ‘pag ikaw ang nagsusulat, ay dumarating na lang ‘yan sa’yo (When you are writing from the heart, your thoughts flow naturally),” she told reporters in Pangasinan when asked what she would say at Plaza Miranda.

“Pero alam ko, sa mahabang panahon ng pagkakampanya na ito, kasi marami na akong naramdaman na pwede kong ilahad (But I also feel that after this long campaign, I now have a feel on the things that I can still share with the people),” she added. IDL
