/ 12:31 AM May 07, 2016

A 26-year-old Japanese national died after falling from the 15th floor of a commercial building in Pasay City on Friday morning.

A report to Senior Supt. Joel Doria, the city’s chief of police, identified the male fatality as Yuhei Chiba. Doria said Chiba appeared to have jumped from the 15th floor of the 25-story EGI Building at the corner of Taft and Gil Puyat avenues.

“But we haven’t discounted anything yet, including foul play,” the official said.

The body was brought to Veronica Funeral Home on A. Arnaiz Avenue. Investigation showed that Chiba had reserved a room at nearby Atrium Hotel for April 27 to 28 but the room was never used. Kristine Felisse Mangunay
