Angara’s LDP goes for Duterte

THE LABAN ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP) of former Sen. Edgardo J. Angara endorsed the presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte.

“The LDP has decided to give Mayor Duterte its full and unequivocal support because we believe his platform addresses the core problems of the country, at this crucial juncture in our history,” said Angara, LDP chair.

“Mayor Duterte offers the best hope for structural change,” Angara added.

“Duterte’s peace and prosperity agenda directly responds to the plight of the Filipino.”

Angara served in the Senate from 1987 to 1998 and from 2001 to 2013. He was Senate President from 1993 to 1995, served as secretary of agriculture from 1999 to 2000, and as executive secretary in 2001.
