3 killed by motorcycle-truck collision in Davao del Sur

DIGOS CITY, Philippines – Three people were crushed to death when their motorcycle collided with a 10-wheel cargo truck  in Sulop, Davao del Sur, early Tuesday morning, police said.

Police Officer 1 Gil Cababat, Sulop traffic investigator, said the motorcycle – driven by Marc Leo Tecson, 22, with Jomar Nacion, 22, and Diomedez Alfeche, 39, riding tandem with him – was entering the national highway from Barangay Talas when it was rammed by the Davao City-bound cargo truck from General Santos City, which was driven by one Rogelio Flores.

Cababat said the victims were run over by the cargo truck after it struck motorcycle. They died on the spot from multiple fracture and other injuries, he said.

Flores fled the scene but later surrendered to traffic officials of Davao City, Cababat said.
