Poe says husband already renounced his US citizenship
SENATOR Grace Poe bared on Sunday that her husband, Neil Llamanzares, has already renounced his US citizenship.
“Na-renounce na po,” Poe said when asked, during the “fast talk” segment of the third and final presidential debate in Pangasinan, when would her husband give up his US citizenship.
“Siguro mga isang buwan na ang nakakalipas pero sya ay talagang Pilipino na ipinanganak ng mga magulang na Pilipino. Yan po ay para mawala lamang ang duda pero sya po ay natural born,” she said.
Asked again if that meant that Llamanzares had already surrendered his US passport, Poe said: “Opo, kung ano po ang nakalagay sa batas.”
Before this, Poe was asked if there are other “Americans” that would join her in Malacañang should she get elected president in the upcoming elections.
“Wala po. Ako lang naman ang inihalal e,” she said.
