Website leaking voters’ data taken down

The website containing a massive leak on the personal details of millions of voters was taken down on Friday following coordination with the Philippines’ Department of Justice  and the US’ DOJ.

DOJ’s Office of the Cybercrime has already informed the Commission on Elections (Comelec) that the website wehaveyourdata.com was taken down.

The website is a searchable data containing information about a voter, such as full name, address, birthday, passport details, text markers and fingerprints. It was launched by a group of hackers called LulzSec Pilipinas.

Still, the Philippines’ DOJ is working with its foreign counterpart to acquire the preserved breached data on Cloudflare and GoDaddy. RAM
