DAVAO CITY – Davao Oriental Vice Governor Mayo Almario and his mother, Rep. Thelma Almario, both of the Liberal Party, have declared their support for the presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

The vice governor said “it’s now up to the officials of the Liberal Party if they will kick me out.”

He said he was sure that “95 percent of our people (in Davao Oriental) are going to vote for him.”

Mayo is running to replace her mother in the district congressional seat, while Thelma is running for governor.

The Liberal Party is fielding former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas for president and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo for vice president.  The Almarios did not say whom they will support for vice president.  SFM
