PANDI, Bulacan— A former vice mayor of this town was shot dead at 6:30 pm on Monday (April 18) while driving home from his farm.
Roberto Marquez Rivera, 61, was shot multiple times and was declared dead on arrival at the Rogaciano Mercado hospital in adjacent Sta. Maria town.
Rivera was driving his Nissan pickup truck along Barangay (village) Manatal but was forced to stop when a barefoot man blocked his way. The man shot him and fled.
