SAN MIGUEL, Bulacan—“Kneel down and pray.”
That is the advice of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to Vice President Jejomar Binay now that he is leading presidential surveys for the elections next month.
“Lumuhod ka sa Diyos. Mag-iyak ka ng sinsero,” was Duterte’s comment on Binay when asked about his advice to his fellow candidates.
He also mentioned the corruption issues hurled against Binay and his family.
“Like kay Binay, bilyon-bilyon yun. Yung anak niya kailangan magluhod din sa tabi niya at yung asawa (niya),” he told reporters here, adding the entire family should kneel down and pray until Election Day.
Duterte and Binay traded barbs after the Vice President urged Filipinos not to vote for the tough-talking mayor due to allegations of human rights violations and extrajudicial killings.
Duterte, however, hit back at Binay by asking the public whom would it pick between a killer of criminals and a thief of public funds. RC
