TODAY, April 13, is the 159th birth anniversary of scholar, physician and propagandist, Trinidad Pardo de Tavera.
He founded the newspaper “La Democracia” in 1899 and was appointed to the Philippine Commission in 1901.
He also served as UP regent in 1908.
