The police arrested on Tuesday one of the top drug suspects in Las Piñas City, a week after a local court approved a search of his house.
Danilo Patinga Reyes, 33, who was ranked No. 4 on the city’s list of most wanted drug pushers, was arrested at his residence in Doña Josefa Village after he yielded 16 sachets of suspected “shabu,” drug paraphernalia, and a loaded .38-caliber pistol.
Senior Supt. Jamar Modequillo, the city police chief, said the arresting team was armed with a search warrant issued by Las Piñas Executive Judge Salvador Timbang.
“We had already been placing him under surveillance for more than a month following reports that (drug) clients would come to his house every day,” Modequillo said. “We caught him by surprise.”
