SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — A company outing turned tragic when an employee fell to his death while taking photographs at the top of a waterfall on Sunday afternoon (April 10), police said.

Jaycel Napay, 24, an electrician of the firm, Asahi Group Trading, slid and fell into the 15-foot-deep water while he and his brother, Frederic, were having their photographs taken on top of the El Kabayo Falls in the Binictican area at about 5 p.m.

Napay disappeared in the water after falling, according to a report from the Law Enforcement Department (LED) of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.

Napay proceeded to the waterfalls area, a known picnic ground, with 20 of his co-workers, some of whom have tried but failed to locate Napay in the waters.

It took about an hour for a rescue team composed of medical personnel from the Subic Dispensary and professional divers to find and retrieve Napay’s body.  SFM
