Escudero: ‘The electorate will ultimately judge’

Senator Francis Escudero on Sunday said that he leaves the assessment of his performance in the first and lone Commission on Elections (Comelec) enabled debate to the electorate.

In an interview with the media after the debate, Escudero said that he was also entertained in engaging in a verbal tousle with his rivals.

However, he said that the election is about the Filipinos and not the personalities involved.

Escudero said that he will not engage himself in character assassination in order to bolster his candidacy.

Kailanman hindi ko gagawin yun,” the senator said.

In the end, Escudero said that he believes that each candidate has unique platforms of government to offer.

“Naniniwala ako na isa sa bawat anim na kandidato nandoon sa entablado ay may angking iaalok at angking talino. Nasa kamay ng ating mga kababayan ang pagpili pagdating ng tamang panahon,” he said.
