P25-M ‘shabu’ in Munti drug bust

AROUND P25-million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” was seized from three individuals—including a minor—in a buy-bust operation in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, on Thursday. Senior Supt. Eusebio Mejos, director of the Southern Police District, said an undercover agent was able to buy 5 kilos of the drug from Akmad Hassan Bagal, 29, of Quiapo, Manila; Halil Sulaiman Said, 21, of Dasmariñas, Cavite province; and a 15-year-old boy also from Quiapo. They were placed under surveillance for about a month before the transaction was arranged around noon on Civic Drive, Alabang.
