SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna —  Two employees of a business process outsourcing (BPO) company were killed when they were hit by a bus while they were crossing a street in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province early Tuesday, police said.

A report from the Laguna provincial police said Gennin Navarro Landicho, a resident of Tanauan City in Batangas province, and John Patric Go, both employees of the IBM Corp. in its facility in the technology hub Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, died instantly after a Jam Transit bus hit them at 5:30 a.m. along the Balibago-Tagaytay Road in Barangay (village) Sto. Domingo.

Police Officer 3 Romeo Contreras, case investigator, said Landicho and Go had just ended their shifts when the accident happened.

Contreras said the bus driver, whose name was not immediately available, escaped after the accident but later surrendered to the police.  SFM
