In-laws all out for Grace Poe
LUMBAN, Laguna—The parents-in-law of Sen. Grace Poe on Friday came out in support the of senator, describing her as a fighter who believes in “daang matuwid” (straight path) although in a different form.
Teodoro and Carol Llamanzares, parents of Poe’s husband Neil, welcomed her when she visited their ancestral house here as part of her multitown sortie in this province.
“She’s really a fighter. She really wants the ‘matuwid na daan,’ but it will be a different version,” Teodoro told reporters.
“Daang matuwid” is the administration’s campaign against corruption in a catchy slogan, which Liberal Party standard-bearer Marcos promises to continue to tread should he win as President.
Poe earlier said nobody has a monopoly over the advocacy for good governance, and that the straight path is not just for a few.
She has promised a government that is not just free of corruption but also has compassion for the people and treats everybody equally, political allies or not.
