5 drown in Negros Occidental beach resort

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental — An Easter Sunday outing turned tragic when five people drowned in a beach resort in Hinigaran town, Negros Occidental.

Reports stated that the five were carried away by strong current at the Paradiso Beach Resort in Hinigaran about 3 p.m. on Sunday, said Lt. Commander Ramil Palabrica, chief of Philippine Coast Guard-Bacolod.
