Police search for kin of suspected bomber nabbed in Davao

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Police authorities here said on Saturday they were trying to trace relatives of the 22-year-old suspected bomber arrested in Davao City on Friday evening, who turned out to be a resident of Sinsuat St. here.

Supt. John Meredel Calinga, the city police chief, said they were helping Davao City authorities find out more details on Roy Bulat-ag Moreno, who was arrested by elements of Task Force Davao.

Calinga said Moreno was traveling to Davao City when an inspection of his belongings yielded two improvised explosive devices and a hand grenade. He was arrested then and there.

“We are still conducting background check on him,” he said.

Calinga said they could not immediately release any information gathered on Moreno as the investigation was still ongoing. CDG
