Heavy traffic at NLEx, SLEx amid Holy Week ‘exodus’

Motorists experience heavy traffic along the North and South Luzon Expressways as the exodus of vehicles going to the provinces continue to build up.

The North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said motorists were experiencing heavy traffic at the entry point in Balintawak, Quezon City. Traffic was slow moving until the San Fernando Exit in Pampanga.

The TRB said slow moving northbound traffic was expected until Thursday night.

Light traffic was expected on the southbound lane going to Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, motorists were also experiencing heavy traffic along the southbound lane of the  South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) from Ayala Toll Plaza to Sipit Bridge.

Heavy traffic  on the SLEx northbound lane was also experienced from Calamba Toll Plaza to Shell Mamplasan. CDG
