CEBU CITY, Philippines—A bomb sniffing dog sat on a suspicious bag inside the media center of the University of the Philippines Cebu on Sunday afternoon before the second presidential debates here started.

But it turned out to be false alarm as Explosive and Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officials found nothing suspicious inside the bag. They revealed that the bag contained two video batteries.

“It’s safe. There’s no problem,” Parallag told reporters.

He said their group checked it, first through their K9. They also opened the small black bag and only found video batteries.

Parallag said they already checked the area Sunday morning and gave instructions for certain situations that would require officials to alert them.IDL
