The hot dry season has officially started, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration on Friday said summer officially kicked in just today, March 18, despite the hot weather felt by the country in the past weeks.
Pagasa said the northeast monsoon had weakened as warm winds from the east or easterlies dominated.
It added that hotter and more humid weather was expected in the coming weeks.
Pagasa recorded a maximum temperature of 33.9-degree Celsius in Metro Manila at 2:30 p.m. YG, Radyo Inquirer/RC
