Queen City loses 0-3 in UFL

THE Cebu Queen City United (CQCU) lost to defending champions Global FC, 0-3, yesterday in its debut match in the United Football Cup 2011-2012 of the United Football League (UFL) at the Alabang Country Club A.

However, head coach Mario Ceniza said that it was not a bad result for a debut game.

He said that although it clearly showed that the team still lack conditioning, it also proved that they are on the right track about preparing for the tournament.

“We are still 80 percent in our conditioning considering that we only had a short preparation,” Ceniza said, resulting in the team’s lack of organization and communication in its first match outside Cebu.

Ceniza commended Global FC saying that their goals were a result of his team’s defensive lapses.

He added that for the next four days, the coaching staff would device a training plan that would hopefully address their mistakes.

Global FC now shares the lead with Stallions FC in Group C with 3 points apiece.
