SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga—Pampanga to vote straight for Liberal Party (LP) candidates?
Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda on Thursday vowed to President Benigno Aquino III that Kapampangans would support all LP candidates in the upcoming elections.
“Nangangako po kaming mga Kapampangan na susuportahan namin lahat ng kandidato niyo,” Pineda said in a prepared speech she read during the Meet the Community program at the San Fernando Capitol compound in San Fernando City.
The governor delivered the message after the respective speeches of LP standard-bearer Mar Roxas and his running mate Leni Robredo before at least 15,000 locals here.

Pampanga has 1.2 million registered voters.
Pineda vowed to deliver votes for the ruling coalition’s candidates despite her being an opponent of LP’s gubernatorial bet Ed Panlilio, who lost to her during the 2013 local elections. She then ran under the local party Kambilan.
The governor is also a known ally of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who is now a Pampanga district representative. RC
