TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NB) arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized P200,00 worth of shabu after they raided a pension house in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, on Wednesday night.

Lawyer Arcelito Albao, supervising agent of NBI-Bohol, identified the suspects as Mark Joseph Aboyabor, 23, and Yancy Chan Goloso, 28, both from this city.

The two occupied separate rooms in a pension house on B. Inting Extension in Cogon District.

Albao said a concerned citizen tipped the NBI on the illegal drugs activity that was going on in the pension house after noticing that the suspects were repacking shabu.

NBI agents coordinated with the Tagbilaran City Police Station in planning the raid at about 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

The raiding team first arrested Goloso who occupied Room 3A3.

When the raiding team knocked on his room, Goloso immediately opened the door thinking that he was being visited by a buyer.

Goloso was repacking shabu at the time of his arrest.

Recovered from his possession were two big sachets and seven small sachets of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P150,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The raiding team later proceeded to Room 3A12, which Aboyabor occupied.

Abayor was arrested with packs of shabu worth P50,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects later told police that they didn’t know each other.

Albao said the two were among the drug peddlers operating in Tagbilaran City, selling drugs from leased rooms in pension houses, inns, hotels and resorts.

“Drug pushers are renting rooms in hotels, pension houses and resorts. They are thinking it’s safe haven for them,” Albao said.

On Sunday, police also arrested Ronald Taer for selling drugs from a pension house in Tagbilaran City.
