6 nabbed in QC drug buy-bust

Six men were arrested on Tuesday night in a buy-bust operation in Sitio San Roque, Barangay (village) Pagasa, Quezon City, police said.

The Quezon City Police District Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (DAID-SOTG) conducted the operation around 11:30 p.m. which resulted in the arrest of Brian Borre, 35; Raceldo Signey, 29; Joel Bansuelo, 29; Joel Bangquiao, 39; Allan Asis, 42; and Bernardo Perez, 42.

A policeman posed as a buyer struck a drug deal with one of the suspects which then resulted in the arrest of the said six men. Recovered from their possessions are the P1,000 used as marked money, one cal. 38 revolver, several sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride (or “shabu”) and various drug paraphernalia.

During the operation, PO2 Mark Joseph Prado was fired upon by Borre, however, he was saved by his bulletproof vest.

Meanwhile, 16 men were rounded by Novaliches police in an operation called “One Time Big Time” on Tuesday night. One of the men arrested was Christian Samonte, 25, and has an outstanding warrant of arrest for an attempted homicide case.
