A photo of a man with long unkempt hair and raggedy clothes while seemingly participating in an official marathon went viral on Tuesday morning.

The man, dubbed by netizens as the “BeggarRunner,” was seen during the Run United 1 event held at the SM Mall of Asia last Sunday, March 13.

According to the post, the man was not an actual beggar, but rather an accomplished duathlete named Larry Ronquillo.

“BeggarRunner” played through with his gimmick as he was also seen collecting garbage while running.

He even posed for pictures with other participants after the event. Khristian Ibarrola
