10 hurt in 5-vehicle accident in Antipolo

AT LEAST 10 people were reportedly injured in an accident in Antipolo City after a truck driver lost control of his vehicle on Monday afternoon.

Rizal police public information office head Insp. Cherrylyn Agtarap told the Inquirer that an Isuzu truck (AAV 1383) rammed into a van, two cars and a sport utility vehicle around 3:15 p.m. on Marcos Highway near Masinag and Mayamot.

The other vehicles involved were a Mitsubishi L300, a Toyota Corolla, a Mitsubishi Montero and a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Agtarap said that at least 10 persons suffered injuries as a result.

At press time, however, the identities of the victims and the truck driver had yet to be determined. The other details of the accident also remained under investigation, she added.
