Senator Grace Poe remained “humbled” and “grateful” after topping another presidential survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS), her spokesman said on Monday.
“Sen. Poe is humbled and grateful to the Filipino voting public who continue to stand by her candidacy despite all the negative attacks thrown her way,” Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian said in a statement.
“Their support serves as inspiration for her to continue to push for her platform of governance anchored on Gobyernong may Puso,” he said.
Gatchalian said the data from the survey would serve as guide for Poe’s next campaign moves.
“Our resolve is to remain focused on amplifying our message of inclusive governance,” he said.
Poe topped the latest SWS survey conducted from Mar 4 to 7 with 27 points, followed by Vice President Jejomar Binay with 24 percent, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas with 22 percent, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte with 21 percent, and Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago with four percent.
The survey was done before the March 8 decision of the Supreme Court allowing her to run for president in May.
