Finnish tourist drugged, robbed in QC
A FINNISH woman on vacation in the country lost more than P15,000 to a group of “friendly” women who befriended and invited her to their house before drugging her.
Anne Maria Elisabft told the police Sunday that she lost the P8,000 and 150 euros (P7,776) in cash she had in her wallet after she accepted three women’s invitation to have lunch in their house in Quezon City on Saturday. However, they did not take her cell phone.
PO3 Marlon dela Vega of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said that the 29-year-old tourist from Finland was walking around Intramuros, Manila around 4 p.m. on Friday when the suspects approached her.
He added that the suspects befriended the victim and invited her for dinner somewhere in Manila but she declined. They were able to get from her, however, the name of the Makati City hostel where she was staying.
Elisabft told the police that on Saturday, the suspects came to the hotel and invited her for lunch to their house in Quezon City. This time, she said, she agreed.
Dela Vega said that after having lunch, the victim and the suspects started drinking beer. Elisabft, however, felt dizzy and became unconscious after downing two glasses, he added.

She also said that she had no plans of filing a complaint against the suspects, adding that she just wanted the incident placed on record.
