IBA, Zambales—Former senator Luisa “Loi” Estrada, wife of former president and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, hosted lunch for the family of Vice President Jejomar Binay during his campaign sortie here.
Accompanied by her son Jude, Estrada ate lunch with Binay’s children Sen. Nancy Binay and dismissed Makati Mayor Junjun Binay.
The vice president, however, took a short nap at Estrada’s ancestral house.
Dr. Estrada remained mum on who to support for president in the upcoming elections in May.
Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Estrada is torn between supporting Binay, who was his running mate in the 2010 presidential elections, and Sen. Grace Poe, the adopted daughter of his friend the late action star Fernando Poe Jr.
Furthermore, Estrada’s second family is supporting different candidates.

San Juan Mayor Guia Gomez endorsed the presidential bid of Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas, while her son Sen. JV Ejercito backed the candidacy of Poe.
Dr. Estrada refused to be interviewed about whom she would support.
Later, she and her friends would have a picture with Binay before the latter left to continue his campaign sortie around the province.
In an interview with reporters before lunch, former Zambales Representative Mitos Magsaysay said Estrada’s hosting of lunch indicates that she and her son supports Binay.
“The mere fact she went out of her busy schedule, siguro malaking senyales na yun kung kanino kumikiling si Dr. Loi (perhaps is a huge sign whom Dr. Loi is likely to support),” Magsaysay, an ally of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo who now supports Binay, said in an interview.
Dr. Estrada was also tagged in the alleged Janet Lim Napoles pork barrel scam. Napoles’ finance officer Benhur Luy said the former first lady has the codename “Inay,” to distinguish her from her son Sen. Jinggoy Estrada who was charged with plunder over the alleged diversion of pork barrel funds into ghost projects for kickbacks. RAM
