It’s still the May 9 result that matters.
The Liberal Party on Tuesday congratulated Senator Grace Poe after the Supreme Court allowed her to run for president.
“The Supreme Court has ruled, and we congratulate Senator Poe on their decision to let her run as President,” said the party’s coalition spokesperson and Akbayan Rep. Barry Gutierrez.

But the LP, which has former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas as its standard-bearer, said they would remain focused on the result of the 2016 national elections in May.
“We now welcome the verdict of the people come May,” Gutierrez added.
Poe was earlier asked by Roxas to join the ruling party’s coalition as the administration vice presidential bet.
The lady senator, however, chose to challenge Roxas in seeking the highest post in the land.
The high court ruled in favor of Poe to reverse the Commission on Elections’ decision disqualifying her from the presidential race.
Before the SC came up with the decision, Roxas said that Vice President Jejomar Binay would benefit from Poe’s disqualification as it is “in his (Binay) interest.”
The administration presidential bet predicted that Binay would get the “biggest chunk” of the votes Poe might lose.
He pointed out that it was Binay’s camp after all who first came out in the media to claim that Poe fell short of the 10-year residency requirement to vie for presidency.
