A total of 61 participants from 14 schools in Davao City joined the third Annual Campus Journalism Workshop conducted by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Davao chapter and the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Of the 61 participants, 44 were students in Grades 8 to 10. The rest were English teachers, many of them advisers of campus papers.
The workshop was part of activities lined up for JCI Davao’s annual Most Outstanding High School Graduate (MOHSG).
Although MOHSG was suspended because of the full implementation of senior high school, which means two additional years of basic education, 2016 JCI officers, headed by Francis de Guzman, chapter president, decided to hold the workshop to improve the skills of young campus journalists.
