5 hurt as truck falls into Benguet ravine

BAGUIO CITY—Two men broke their legs when their Isuzu elf truck fell 70 meters down into ravine in Benguet’s Itogon town before noon on Friday.

Three others suffered minor injuries, including the 38-year-old driver, Antonio Tanacio, when their truck slipped off Yagyagan Road along Tuding village, said Chief Insp. Cherry Fajardo, spokesperson of the Cordillera Police Office in La Trinidad town.

The names of Tanacio’s passengers have not been released as of press time. All five were treated at the Benguet General Hospital. RAM
