President Benigno Aquino III has appointed a new Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center head, Malacañang said Tuesday.

Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said lawyer Andre “Raj” C. Palacios will replace Cossette Canilao as executive director of the PPP Center.
Aquino signed the appointment papers of Palacios, according to Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr.
Canilao’s resignation, citing “pressing family concerns,” takes effect on March 8, 2016.

Palacios is already familiar with the work of the PPP Center, having served as its technical adviser since January.
Specializing in international and corporate law, the new PPP Center head was also assistant secretary at the Office of the Chief Presidential Legal Counsel from March 2003 to May 2004.
He received his law degree from the University of the Philippines and placed fifth in the 1998 Bar Examinations. He also has a Master of Laws in International Law from the University of London.
