Senator Grace Poe was “extremely grateful” for the endorsement by Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) of her presidential bid in the upcoming elections in May, her spokesman said on Monday.
“Sen. Poe is extremely grateful to the NPC for endorsing her candidacy to become the country’s next President. She believes that together, she and the thousands of NPC members nationwide can propel the country to become more inclusive and help uplift the lives of our countrymen,” Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian said in a statement.

“The endorsement of the NPC will serve as inspiration for Sen. Poe to intensify her campaign and to further detail to the Filipino public her advocacy to establish—Gobyernong may Puso,” he added.
Gatchalian issued the said statement shortly after NPC leaders announced its decision at a press conference held at the House of Representatives.

Poe’s running mate Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero received the endorsement of the party as well.
Both Poe and Escudero are independent candidates. RAM
