Poe, Escudero, PGP senatorial bets hold rally in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY —Ten of 12 senatorial  bets  of  Partido Galing at Puso (PGP) showed up at the political rally held at the Melvin Jones Grandstand, Burnham Park here  on Tuesday.

PGP’s standard-bearer Senator Grace Poe and  her running mate, Senator Francis  Escudero  led the rally attended  by  thousands  of residents and supporters here.

The ten senatorial bets present  were reelectionist Senator  Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, former Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri and Richard  Gordon,  Congressmen Roman Romulo, Sherwin Gatchalian, Samuel Pagdilao and Neri Colmenares, lawyer Lorna Kapunan, migrant workers’ advocate Susan “Toots Ople, and Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.

Each candidate gave their  respective  speeches.

The only two  senatorial  bets who were absent were reelectionist Senator Ralph Recto, who is part of the administration’s senatorial ticket,  and actor Edu Manzano.

Before the event, Poe and Escudero attended a multisectoral consultation in the morning at the Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School in Bontoc, Mt. Province.

The two senators and their senatorial candidates also held a press conference at the Prince Plaza Hotel, followed by a school visit at St. Louis University.
