PMA alumni says adopted members could meet class at picnics

BAGUIO CITY — Candidates, who are adopted members of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) alumni, are not being barred from joining the PMA homecoming on Feb. 20.

But they would be asked to watch from the grandstand at the Borromeo Fields, and may join their adoptive classes at the picnic grounds after the homecoming ceremonies, according to the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association.

“PMAAAI associate and honorary members as well as adopted members shall be accorded due importance as they would be provided reserved seats at the grandstand, where they are going to meet other special guests of the Academy and the alumni,” said PMAAAI chair Manuel Espejo in a statement.

Espejo said the time-honored ceremonies at the homecoming are tributes “bestowed on regular members [of the alumni].” CDG
