Bodies of 2 boys found in river

THE BODIES of two boys believed to have drowned were recovered from the Pasig River in Makati City on Tuesday morning.

An initial police report identified one of them as 11-year-old Dennis Ayade, a student of Jose Fabella Memorial School in Mandaluyong City.

His body was found afloat in the river near Villena Street in Barangay Poblacion around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Case investigator SPO2 Nilo Sadsad said they have yet to identify the other victim believed to be between 12 and 15 years old. His body was spotted nearly four hours later near A. Bonifacio Street in Barangay Valenzuela.

A witness told the police that he saw the two boys swimming in the river near the Guadalupe area on Monday afternoon. Investigators were still verifying the victims’ cause of death. Maricar B. Brizuela
