Danao City legislative hall on fire; no one hurt

CEBU CITY — A fire broke out on the second floor session hall of the legislative building of Danao City located 48 kilometers north of Cebu City at 7:30 pm Sunday.

Vice Mayor Ramon “Red” Durano VI said they have not found out what caused the fire and the extent of the damage. The session hall was undergoing repairs two weeks prior to the fire.

The legislative building is located at the back of the city’s executive building. “We are thankful that no one was hurt,” Durano said in a text message.

Last year, a fire also burned the Danao City police precinct and a nearby old building occupied by City Hall offices.  SFM
